About the Site
The Philips Consumer Lifestyle online shop, launched only months ago, has already received two prestigious awards - the iF award for communication design and the ICE 'Rookie of the year' accolade for initiatives that deliver e-business value.
This site is intended to bring intuitive access to users wishing to buy any of thousands of Philips products. The challenge was providing simple, effective and consistent navigation, product listing, and product detail templates when the products offered are somewhat incongruous. Technologies utilized include Flex and Ajax, to provide user-initiated content updates, such as the compare feature, without reloading pages.
